Josh Rom is a national award winning London based Broadcaster, & Journalist.   

Whether conducting one-on-one interviews with Hollywood royalty, providing news commentary and analysis on international news outlets or entertaining the nation on speech radio, Josh is a versatile broadcaster with multiple strings to his bow.

As a seasoned Entertainment and Royal Journalist he’s written for publications including The Sun Online, Daily Star Online and The Jewish News. Recent broadcast appearances have included ITV News, BBC News, Sky News, talkTV, Times Radio, LiveNow on Fox, Newsmax, Scripps News, News I24 in Israel, Jeremey Vine on 5, BBC Radio Soctland, BBC Radio London, and Byline TV, where he has covered, discussed and debated entertainment, cultural and Royal stories.

He’s been on air with national treasures and some of the biggest names in the buisness including Vanessa Feltz, Jeremy Vine, Mariella Frostrup, Cathy Newman, John Pienaar, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Kirsty Gallacher, Alastair Stewart OBE, and Simon McCoy.

As an expert commentator, he’s also been quoted in publications such as The Express, New York Post, Page Six, Glamour Magazine and more and has worked on major digital projects with Channel 4 for their innovative series, Hot Takes. He’s known for his expert knowledge on all things Award Season where he was also behind the launch of the first ever digital mini-series for The Sun Showbiz. As well as frequently getting scoops for the paper, Josh can currently be found delivering all the latest news, reaction and gossip from all the ceremonies including the BAFTAs, BRITs, Grammys and Oscars on Awards Watch.

Josh is arguably best known for his stint as the leading and longest-serving Entertainment Correspondent on talkRADIO. He conducted interviews with Hollywood royalty on a regular basis where he made headlines with his one-on-one chats with the likes of Keira Knightley, Renée Zellweger, Samuel L Jackson, Bill Nighy, Robbie Williams and Gillian Anderson with by pickup the Mail Online, Express and The Sun.

Josh also led the station’s Award Season coverage for four consecutive years. Additionally, snippets from his film reviews have appeared in newspapers, billboards and for other marketing materials for major film campaigns.

Josh also worked with the BBC on many occasions, appearing on the World Service, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Berkshire on the radio side of thing. In terms of TV, he’s contributed on Outside Source, Afternoon Live, BBC World News and BBC News Overnight.

He’s also had plenty of other domestic & international news experience working with 5 News and MBC. He was also the regular Showbiz Correspondent for Feature Story News’ as part of their international radio show in Asia.

This comes as he was handpicked by producers from The Evening Standard to be a big part of their online and social Love Island based studio series Off The Island. As part of his role he provided fresh insight, analysis and humour to the proceedings. He impressed so much he was then asked to present the studio show where he bagged some of the first interviews with the contestants – before the series had even finished. The show was received well on The Evening Standard’s website, Facebook and YouTube pages with the episodes he presented gaining over 135,000 hits on YouTube alone!

To cut his teeth in showbiz, started off as a presenter and video journalist for one of the UK’s leading showbiz news agencies, BANG Showbiz. He reported from red carpet events, launches, film premieres, junkets and screenings for the company, interviewing worldwide names such as Sir Patrick Stewart, Hailee Steinfeld, Fergie The Duchess of York, Little Mix, Liam Payne, Craig David and Dua Lipa to name but a few.

His warm and engaging style on the carpet has drawn a long list of celebrities providing him with millions of online hits and interviews being picked up by national press on many occasions. The Sun, Mail Online, The Mirror, Metro, The Independent, Express, NME, OK! Magazine and Digital Spy have all published quotes from his exclusive interviews, with his videos having been published on national & international platforms such as MSN, AOL, The Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan & IHeartRadio and more.

As well as in entertainment, Josh is an experienced presenter when it comes to features. He was the face of the nationwide coverage of Shabbat UK for The Jewish News, Britain’s Biggest Jewish Newspaper Online. His content on social media gained nearly 200,000 hits and counting! He also worked with BBC Three on their online series ‘Things Not to Say”. This video was a massive hit online gaining over 300,000 hits. This was on top of his own monthly column which he started at the tender age of 19.

Before all of this in 2016, Josh took part in a nationwide campaign for 4Music & The Box Plus Network. His face was shown across their platforms as part of the Last Fan Standing Campaign being broadcast both on-air and online, chatting to Will Best & AJ Odudu as well as giving his own take on pop culture on Facebook Live which was watched by over 25,000 viewers.

He was also a regular contributor to Big Brother on Channel 5 being watched by millions, grilling the likes of John Partridge and Darren Day in the Big Brother Press Conference task alongside broadcasting veteran, Vanessa Feltz. This is alongside contributing to the magazine spinoff show, Bit on the Side, for over 4 years.

Josh is no stranger to live television, both in front and behind the camera executive producing and presenting The Panel, a live online breakfast chat show to Facebook and YouTube Live. Here he proved that he will do anything live on air, even going as far as to get his entire back waxed for charity! When he wasn’t on main host duties, he was the show’s main fashion, style and showbiz correspondent where he bagged exclusive interviews with the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine and other famous faces all whilst he was still in university!

Josh started out as the most watched presenter at Nottingham’s student media outlets and then became a qualified journalist at one of the UK’s top journalism schools, City University of London. Josh quickly learned the trade and in the process became a national award-winning broadcaster with highlights including covering the biggest ever UK Student demonstration as well as broadcasting online to thousands of viewers as part of the on-air team for the biggest ice hockey match outside of North America for two consecutive years.

These have been exciting times for Josh, but he is only just getting started!
